I sleep with my iPod Shuffle.
Yup. If I could, I’d wire music into my brain permanently.
I adore the little thing. It’s my first mp3 player. I had been holding out for economics, etc. to take their course and then cash in on something ‘way cooler and cheaper’ down the line, and worrying about how to fit all 80GB of music onto it (yes, so very rational for a portable player. Seriously.) I was on a different ‘cocktail’ of meds back then. It was really messing with my … ability to make any decision, large or small. So luckily for me, this was a gift from the Cherished One™ and no decisions attached!
Did I mention how much I love that damn thing? Yeah. ♫ ♪ ♫ Rock on, my little Shuffle.

have you tried using a website like last.fm?

Hello SR! Thanks for stopping by
I don’t believe I have ventured over there yet!
I remember using a site called di.fm a lot when I was getting into goa/psytrance/chillout stuff a few years ago - I found it extremely useful and great for keeping the head ‘musified’. I especially remember … what was it called.. Ishkur’s (?) guide to electronic music being such a great resource. Ah, here it is.. : http://www.di.fm/edmguide/edmguide.html …
I’ll have to check out last.fm - thanks for the direction
I also stumbled upon “Musicovery” a few months ago… it’s quite fun, with being able to choose from a (somewhat limited, but I was still surprised) variety of playlists depending on Mood (’dark’ or ‘positive’) or danceability or tempo (’energetic’ or ‘calm’). If you haven’t already checked it out, you might be interested. It’s… here: http://www.musicovery.com/index.php?ct=us
Take care, SR!
