One tip on the WordPress issue. Check out your control panel. Go to Users/Your Profile. There should be a little check box near the top that says "Use the visual editor when writing". Make sure that box is checked. Be sure you click "Update Profile" over on the right before you exit the screen to accept your change. I'm guessing somehow it got unchecked while you weren't looking. When the letters wrap around and come back into the light I wonder, "Is there a typo back there in the dark where I can't see it?" :) Yep.
