This Applied to me Recently at an NA Meeting AND a Dennis DeYoung Concert - RE Seth Godin Article

Exponentially exhausted :!: after an ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS birthday weekend, but just had to post these fantastic new ‘discoveries’. . .

The opener is a link to Seth’s Blog: How to be a great audience, a recent post crafted by Seth Godin, bestselling authour [of seven books worldwide], entrepreneur and agent of change, AND :!: quite a renowned gentleman whom I am quickly learning has truly effected some inarguably creative and genuine change with respect to people’s perceptions of “marketing, change and work“. I really need to check out some of his books; must grok. I just have no idea where to start; they’re all so intriguing ;)

There are some truly remarkable insights on his site regarding business, marketing, entrepreneurship, . . . :!: and I’m also quite tickled pink that he’s a fellow Canadian :!: (Heheheh ;) ).

On a different, yet unsurprisingly similar note is an upcoming release of a new (and less costly?) paperback edition of Malcolm Gladwell’s Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking. Heck, I’d buy it for the title alone (aaand, what does this tell you about my shopping behaviours? :( ) Ooh, and rock on - Tipping Point Unabridged on Audio CD! ;) ). And heck, why not - here’s a link to Blink in every other existent format, for those who REALLY can’t wait another day…?! Heheheh. Hey; it happens to myself often enough to rule out mere coincidence, I think know ;)

Thank you, thank you to Rick Turoczy at More than a living (There has to be something more than earning a living.) - his Professional Training and Coaching industry weblog - for enlightening me re: Seth Godin and his work in his post World of Warcraft taught some how to win the recruiting war.

If you’re like me, and you can’t get enough of Rick’s inspired (and inspiring!) writing, panache, charisma, superb wit :!: , be sure to check him out talking the talk without walking the walk at his personal blog hypocritical.

Thanks again, Rick! And hello, kumquat! ;)

hey kids . . . what are you rocking for?

Thanks for highlighting Seth’s Blog. I loved the idea of ‘triangulation’ and how you can be lured into buying something more than you wanted just because a third, more expensive option gets presented.

Now - I need your advice! I’ve been tracking the stats for my online story about Harry McFry. Seems like over 40% of hits are from Canada, even though there’s no Canadian or even North American theme to the novel.

    Any idea what’s going on?

    Kind Regards

Happy Birthday!!!! Glad it rocked :)
