To Anyone Who Has Had Difficulty Accepting Their OWN Inner Alanis

Such as Yours Truly, until . . . Today :!:

Obviously, y’alls know (or should?!) I’m from Otterwa - erm, Ottawa, hometown of the Misunderstood and Underrated Queen Herself ;) (Wow - I could/would(!) never have said that before today ;) Rockin’. . .).

Well, here’s what ‘changed it all’ for a Supposed Former Alanis Aversion Junkie :!: :

Simply brilliant, Alanis m’Dear! ;)

 where’s the ‘laughing my arse off‘ smiley when ya need it?! :P

And in the same vein (thanks Google!), here’s Gmail’s à-propos “Funny Quote of the Day“:

We’ll love you just the way you are if you’re perfect.

(Teh(!) New Queen o’ My World. For today and, er, ‘now on’-ish, anyways ;),

Ryan Reynolds can do better. S’all I’m sayin’.

  2. Sheri Says:

Bahahahahaha, though not really “afanis” I always thought that this song deserved to be parodied. I would have liked to see it done more a la Yankovic though with rewritten lyrics.

    Still, was very amusing.

    Thanks for sharing.

  3. ankakay Says:

    Pines-
    Can or could? :P
    I.e., you’re confusing me, heheheheh :P
(erm, ’cause, yeah. he’d be … erm… zug-zug  in the same… ’setting’)

    Sheri-
Hopefully(!) it’s on his ‘to-do’ list! That would be fantastic, heheheh.

I’ve fortunately (and MIRACULOUSLY?!) only heard the original b-eyed peas song only once.. er, maybe 2-3 times, since I did recognize it and seemed to know some of the lyrics. But still - how difficult are they to ‘remember’ :P Ugh. They’re viral, in fact. Hearing it THAT many times was that many times too many :!:

Ew! Don’t look to the left if/when you’re. . . commenting on this particular post, ahahah. Erm. 8O
    ’sighs.

You write/sing/emote so much better than Afanis (EhEHeheh, I -love- that… )

We all knows it! :P Well. The ones who matter, anyway?? :D

    :moresighs: ;)

I’m a moron. I had no idea she had a rep. for ripping off people’s lyrics to begin with. I felt a twinge of déjà-vu, but that might have just been a rapid-processing of the thought “Hrmf! … Figures!”

When Armky enlightened me of said rep., I was dragged right back across the line and settled into something akin to annoyed ambivalence (pretty much where I ‘lived’ before, :P ). AND(!) my laziness / something(?!) won out over the ‘OCD’ and I didn’t change the post one bit after learning of the ‘not-so-borrowed art’ stigma. Yaaay.

Things are becoming ‘lost in the past’ (in a ‘where they durn well should be!’ sense) at a blindingly warp speed these days. Learning is fun, but dizzying in this manic state, BLURGH. And it’s starting to wear me down. Come baaaack little(?!) helper in terms of getting stuff done around the house, the world, the web ;) - anything!

  4. Sheri Says:

Hey I’m glad you didn’t change the original post…you shouldn’t.

Despite becoming suddenly aware of some, and let me assure you, totally “obscure” fact…in the sense that there is really no way to prove said fact, shouldn’t change your opinion about a specific work by an artist.

The video is damn funny in its own right. And I say kudos to her.

As far as the song itself “My Humps”, a parody of any kind was indeed LOOOOONG overdue.

I mean can you get any more banal?

Hehehe…remembered that word from one of your earlier posts. Learning new words is great…having a chance to use them…priceless.

  5. ankakay Says:

SHERI: I mean can you get any more banal?

    SERIOUSLY!!! :P

And I have SUCH a hard-on for learning new words!!! :P

Der. . . that may have been asininely [my word-of-the-week, it’s seeming! hahaha ‘asinine’+, that is  ] obvious, but hey. Some of ya’s may need a good ol’ Canadianite BOOT TO DA HEAD sometimes . . . ?

Sheri, any and all words from you are always such a highlight of my days. MAGICKAL :P Hehehheh *HUGS*!
